The Champs Elysees is across the 8th district in Paris, with a total length of 1910 meters and a direction of southeast – northwest. The Avenue begins from the Place de la Concorde, ends at the Arc de Triumph.
The Round point des Champs Elysees divide the street into two parts or sections: the eastern half is a path of boulevard with 700 meters long, and the fields on both sides of the road are flourished by green grass and lined trees, with Orioles and swallows coming and going and fragrant flowers, it is rarely a quiet place in downtown.
The western half of the street which is about 1200 meters, is a land full of traders, and also is the most intensive parts of the international famous brand all over the world. Along the not too long street lined with big companies, large banks, airlines, cinemas, luxury shops and upscale restaurants from France and around the world.
The run-through and link up of the first subway line in Paris led the flourished of Haussmann style architecture on both sides of the Champs Elysees, and now most of these classic buildings have become fine and top grade restaurants, upscale hotels or high-grade office space located in Paris. Since then the Champs Elysees also has become the French a showcase of modern industry, of famous French perfume Guerlain production plant settled here is just one of the successful examples.
Taking a far sight of the Champs Elysees from the Louvre, you can behold the new Arc de Triumph in the outskirts of La Defense area in Paris straightly through Place de la Concorde and the Arc de Triumph. The 19th century architectures on both sides of street, antique-style street lights, and news stand full of new artistic all give this road some one kind romantic tales of Paris.
